Fuel tanks, pipework and remaining wiring

Managed to spend a bit more time on the lightweight this afternoon.

Stripped out the remaining wiring from the rear, towing socket etc., and the fuel lines and fuel tanks.

Spent ages getting all the wiring loom, fuel and brake lines P clips off along with the rear bump stops and axle straps. Rear end is pretty much done now with the exception of taking the rear axle out. All that’s left at the front is the steering gear and a couple of brackets.

Axles will be the very last things to come off the chassis so we can keep it mobile until the very last minute, then it’ll be time to get the chassis shot blasted and see what welding is needed.

Did a bit of shopping at Peterborough LRO Show last month and came home with some new bulkhead outriggers and footwell repair sections. From what I’ve seen today, it’s going to need the rear fuel tank supports, or at leadt the near side one. Will see what gets found by the shot blasting.
